Too Human : Good or Bad?

The problem with reviewers is that sometimes they just don't know and that is what is happening with Too Human. So, you get reviews like this one from Team XBOX, the reviewer struggles to understand the nature of this action role playing game and picks holes in the system that from the demo on XBOX Live seemed complex, but had scope for exploration. I have played and completed this demo over six times and I love the systems of combat, both melee and ranged. I have enjoyed switching and changing weapons/armour plus I discovered early on that you can change the colour of equipment with runes, so it doesn't look as silly as the reviewer suggests.

So, Team XBOX don't hate Too Human, but they aren't that impressed. Now, VideoGamer.com also weren't impressed but they were quite addicted to the game. The reviewer discuss a factor he called "Dungeon Crawling", as a fan of Diablo, I understand completely the addiction. It's a simple human collecting nature, I want more gold and I want more and more impressive weapons/armour. I think fair to say Too Human is going to split gamers over if it is good or bad , but for me, my pre-order stays.

There is the small matter of the 30 second unskippable cut-scene every time you die, and enemies being a bit rubbish when they aren't on a completely flat surface, and from the demo, rather strange and unrealistic environments,

15 seconds actually, but i try not to die ;-)

yup, the attacks on non-flat surfaces are rubbish.

i kind of liked the level design as it seemed like japanesse styling of norse.
